Enjoy a special screening of "Barns of the Susquehanna Valley" and meet director Jonathan Slade. Proceeds benefit the Historic Gettysburg-Adams County (HGAC) Barn Preservation Grant program.
This documentary explores the significance of the barns indigenous to South Central Pennsylvania and features interviews with farmers, landowners, historians, architects, authors, preservationists and other barn enthusiasts, including some from Adams County! Director Jonathan Slade is a six-time Emmy Award winning writer, producer and director.
Also during this program, Learn about HGAC's Barn Preservation Project and Grant Program, a grass roots project begun in 2005 to preserve the historic barns of Adams County. The Project provides grants to barn owners to make needed repairs and also maintains a Barn Registry recording the architectural details of existing historic barns in Adams County.
